Kevin Shaw will represent Sarnia-Lambton’s Green Party in the June 12 election.

The St. Clair Secondary School math teacher was born and raised on a farm near Brigden and has deep family roots in Lambton County.

Shaw says he’s been teaching for about 13 years and before that was a computer consultant in Toronto. He currently runs a website for high school Athletic Associations in his spare time.

He is a graduate of Lambton Central Collegiate in Petrolia and went on to earn an Honours Bachelor of Math degree from the University of Waterloo and a joint Bachelor of Education degree from Queen’s University.

Shaw says the Green Party’s platform focusing on jobs, kids and the environment attracted him.

There is a history of politics in Shaw’s family, his grandfather was Ralph White a former Lambton County Warden.
