Very often we can feel helpless when we’re bombarded with bad news
However, local resident Thea DeGroot says there is an option.
On the first Wednesday of every month, the Sarnia-Lambton Amnesty Group meets at 7pm at DeGroot’s Nurseries, where they discuss world human rights issues and sign pre-written letters on those topics
She says every Christmas they advocate on behalf of the unjustly accused and in some cases the letter-writing results in the prisoner being released.
