Flood Watch Issued
May 16, 2014 1:07pm
Excessive rainfall this week has led to localized flooding in flood plain areas and saturated ground conditions.
As a result, the St. Clair Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for its entire watershed.
Spokesman Steve Clark says the area has received 50 mm of rain over the past three days. The watch will remain in place until Monday.
Waterworks Rd. and Pretty Rd. near Stanley Rd. are expected to be impacted by high water levels.
The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority includes the Sydenham River watershed and smaller watersheds draining directly into southern Lake Huron, the St. Clair River and northeastern Lake St. Clair.
