Joe Thompson from Sarnia is the new leader in the Walleye category with a 8.36 lbs walleye entered on day nine of the Salmon Derby.

The other Salmon Derby leaders are:

• Bill Gray from Camlachie in the Salmon category with a 15.92 lbs salmon,
• Adam Ibbetson from Burlington in the Trout – Boat category with a 10.07 lbs rainbow trout,
• Robert Myllyoja from Sarnia in the Trout – Shore category with a 11.36 lbs rainbow trout,
• Scott Tomlinson from Sarnia in the Lake Trout category with a 15.50 lbs lake trout.

The Daily Big Fish winner is Jim Gibson from Dorchester with a 15.48 lbs lake trout.

• The daily draw winners are:
• Derik Hatgins from Parkhill at the Port Franks weigh station, and
• Rick Salisbury from Sarnia at the Sarnia weigh station.

There were 46 fish entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 86 fish at the Port Franks weigh station for a daily total of 132 fish. A total of 1091 fish have been entered during the first 9 days of the Salmon Derby.

The Salmon Derby ends at 3pm this afternoon.
