Real Estate Sales Rebound

Real Estate Board President Don Guerette

The Sarnia-Lambton real estate market is gradually warming up in step with the weather.

April’s numbers were the best in ten years for that month.

182 properties sold with a dollar volume of $37.6-million, up 17 per cent compared to April 2013.

Real Estate Board President Don Guerette says the market appears to be recovering from the unusually long, harsh winter.

The $100,000 to $200,000 price category was the most active last month with 86 homes selling.

The average sale price is up eight per cent at $217,600.
