The possible closure of Coronation Park Day Nursery in Sarnia will highlight discussion in Wyoming this morning.

Lambton County Council meets in-camera at 9am to discuss labour relations involving CUPE Local 2926.

The union represents 38 child care workers at the Centre.

In its regular meeting at 9:15am, the agenda includes nine delegation requests from individuals or groups wishing to address county council regarding the possible closure of Coronation Park Day Nursery.

Melissa Hewitt will explain the effect the closure would have on her family and outline other options to explore. Robert and Dawn Williams feel a staff report lacked information that would allow county council to make a fair and informed decision. And Janice McGuire, the executive director of Generations Daycare in Petrolia, will discuss the outcome for other children, families and Registered Early Childhood Educators in the community if the decision is made to keep Coronation Park Day nursery open.

The Oak Ave. centre provides licensed day care for nearly 160 children.
