The Harper government has declared this Friday a National Day of Honour, commemorating the Afghanistan conflict.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62 President Bill Douglas says they’ll have a ceremony at 2pm at the Cenotaph at the Front Street Legion.
158 soldiers died in the conflict, including 37-year-old Cpl. Brent Poland of Sarnia, 21-year-old William Cushley of Port Lambton, and 34-year-old Krista Giesebrecht of Wallaceburg.
