Workers who have been killed, injured or fell ill on the job will be remembered tonight.
The Sarnia and District Labour Council is hosting a local ceremony for the International Day of Mourning at the “missing worker memorial.”

Committee Chair John Millholland says guest speakers include Sandy Kinart with the Victims of Chemical Valley and Carolyn Sim with a group called Threads of Life.

Participants can gather at the Centennial Park flag court at the foot of London Rd. and then march to the 6pm ceremony, between the Centennial Park playground and boat ramp.

The Victims of Chemical Valley, occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers and the Workers Health and Safety Centre also sponsor the event.
