Modernizing Sarnia’s Sign Bylaw
Sarnia’s draft sign bylaw has been released to the public for review.
The current bylaw dates back to 1993.
City Manager Margaret Misek-Evans says staff has been working on the review the last few years because advertising and signage has evolved a lot over 21 years.
New sign standards in the proposed by-law include electronic message displays, banner signs, barn signs, inflatable signs and menu board signs.
The draft can be viewed at www.sarnia.ca by clicking on public consultation.
Residents are urged to review the document and submit comments through a dedicated email, email@example.com.
One final public meeting on the proposed law will be held May 13 at 6pm in Sarnia Council chambers.
