Joe the cat has been released from Sarnia’s Blue Cross Animal Hospital just in time for Easter.
Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Sarnia Agent Becky Knight says he will continue to heal and receive the extra care he needs with a foster family. She says Joe is doing very well and healing nicely and believes he’s on the road to a solid recovery.
The white cat was given the name “Joe” after he was found in Bright’s Grove in early February, suffering from 17 wounds in his head inflicted by a pellet gun.
Donations were received from throughout North America to help cover his medical costs.
Two Sarnia men aged 19 and 20, are facing animal cruelty charges.
