April 8, 2014 1:15pm
The 13th annual Cyclone Aid takes place this Saturday(April 12).
The tradition that began at St. Christopher Catholic Secondary School in 2002, is expanding the coverage area this year.
With the amalgamation of St. Pat’s and St. Christopher, Cyclone Aid will be canvassing all of Sarnia, Pt. Edward and Bright’s Grove.
Traditionally only north of the 402 was covered.
Grade 12 student Matthew Gerrits expects it will be the largest Cyclone Aid ever.
Donations go to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.
Executive Director Myles Vanni says it helps the food bank to get through the summer months.
Cyclone Aid is this Saturday from 9am until noon. Residents are encouraged to leave donations on their front steps to speed up collection.
