Significant rain and the chance of freezing rain is on the way.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement that includes Sarnia-Lambton.
A low pressure system from the southern plains will spread significant rainfall into southern Ontario tonight and Friday. The rain is expected to begin as freezing rain north of a line along Hwy. 401.
General rainfall amounts of 15-25 mm (up to 1 in) are expected with locally higher amounts in isolated thunderstorms.
Poor driving conditions due to ice on untreated roads should be expected during the morning commute Friday from southern Lake Huron to northern Toronto and northward towards Georgian Bay.
