Upbeat Spin On Health Meeting From Liberal Candidate

Sarnia Lambton Provincial Liberal candidate Anne Marie Gillis says yesterday’s meeting with Health Minister Deb Matthews wasn’t as bad as some are making it out to be.

Gillis says Sarnia¬†Mayor Mike Bradley and Bluewater Health President Sue Denomy both put a negative spin on Matthew’s response to their request for ministry funding for demolition of the old Sarnia General Hospital.

Gillis, a city councillor, says other avenues could be pursued.

Gillis says funding could come from other ministries and disputes suggestions the denial of Sarnia funding is political with both liberal held London and Windsor ridings having previously received demolition funding.
