Flood Watch For Port Franks

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority has issued a flood watch for the Port Franks area and Grand Bend.
Rising temperatures and rain will push Ausable River water levels higher and ice jams will have the potential to shift and move downstream over the next few days.
The authority says that could potentially impact areas along the river between Bog Line and the river mouth at Port Franks. There’s also a slight chance of ice jamming in the village of Grand Bend due to the amount of river ice this winter.
