Mayor Mike Bradley leads a Sarnia delegation to Queens Park today to meet with Health Minister Deb Matthews.

They’ll be discussing the decomissioning of the old Sarnia General Hospital site.

He says the building has been vacant for two years, the province has paid $1-million in healthcare costs to keep the site maintained, and the city owns the land.

Mayor Bradley wants the province to pay for the $3-million demolition cost so the city can look at options for the property. He says the Community Care Access Center, the Canadian Mental Health group, and the Withdrawal Management Project are looking for new locations.
