City Council Meets Today
A number of transportation related topics will be discussed when city council meets this afternoon.
Council will meet in-camera briefly at 3:40pm to discuss personal matters and labour relations.
During its regular meeting at 4pm, city staff are recommending that council accept the divestiture of Sarnia Harbour as long as several conditions are met. Ottawa has stepped forward offering $8.5-million for a clean transfer in ownership.
Sarnia’s draft Transportation and Public Transit Master Plan will be presented.
And council will be asked to approve Phase two of the Kenwick on the Lake projects and award a $3-million dollar tender for the reconstruction of Capel, Lydia, Maxwell and Nelson Streets.
