Environment Canada has ended a freezing rain warning for Sarnia-Lambton.

There was concern of a mixture of snow and freezing rain overnight Friday March 21.

Forecasters were watching a potent disturbance over southern Michigan that was expected to carve a path across southern Ontario overnight with the centre of low pressure likely to cross just south of the Toronto area.

It was expected to bring a brief period of heavy snow followed by freezing rain near Lake Huron reaching the Golden Horseshoe overnight. Most of the snow preceding the freezing rain was expected from Huron-Perth to Toronto.

From Sarnia to Hamilton and south to Lake Erie, precipitation was expected to be mainly freezing rain changing to rain.

Travellers urged to use caution overnight due to poor visibility in heavy snow followed by slippery conditions on untreated roads.
