The Hanover Barons have a new, young face running their front office.
In a recent tweet, the Barons confirmed they have appointed former Mount Forest Patriot and St. Marys Lincoln star forward Blair Butchart as their general manager. Butchart has a wealth of experience, particularly winning, in the PJHL and GOJHL. He helped the Patriots win two Pollock Division titles, while piling up points. In 201 junior games split between the Patriots, Lincolns, Elmira Sugar Kings and the OJHL's Burlington/Cobourg Cougars, Butchart put up 278 points, including a 79 point 40 game season with the Pats in 2017-18.
The Barons are certainly hopeful that Butchart's winning ways translate to the GM armchair front the ice sheet.
