After his top 10 finish at The Masters, Listowel's Corey Conners stayed in Georgia to compete at the PGA's RSM Classic.
He opened with a 3-under-67. Conners was able to card four birdies in the round but a bogey on the par-4 13th set him back one. That puts him in a tie for 21st.
Conners is scheduled to tee off his second round at 11 a.m.
The leaders are Matt Wallace and Camilo Villegas at 6-under.
