Conners comes in under par after first round

After his top 10 finish at The Masters, Listowel’s Corey Conners stayed in Georgia to compete at the PGA’s RSM Classic.

He opened with a 3-under-67. Conners was able to card four birdies in the round but a bogey on the par-4 13th set him back one. That puts him in a tie for 21st.

Conners is scheduled to tee off his second round at 11 a.m.

The leaders are Matt Wallace and Camilo Villegas at 6-under.
