GOJHL releases a plan for fans

With one month to go before this season’s targeted start date, the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League is working on a plan to have fans in the stands.

In the league's release Monday, the GOJHL wants to have arenas at 30% capacity. That's if there is enough room to maintain two metres of physical distancing. If assigned seating isn’t available, a maximum of 150 spectators will be permitted.

Other parameters include those in attendance would be asked to wear a mask, avoid congregating in the lobby, and stay two metres away from players as they enter and exit the ice surface and dressing rooms.

But the measures must be approved by local public health authorities.

The 40-game regular season is scheduled to start on December 2. The playoff format would follow it's regular path with 8 teams from each of the three conferences moving on.
