Hockey Canada issues statement regarding return to play plan

Hockey Canada is going to allow member organizations around the country to chart the best path forward for themselves regarding a return to play during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a release on June 4th, Hockey Canada says that there are still no sanctioned Hockey Canada activities being conducted right now following the decision on March 12th to cancel all Hockey Canada-sanctioned activities across the country.

Now, moving forward, Hockey Canada is recommending all member organizations consult directly with their local Medical Officers of Health and other experts on how to best move forward with a return to play plan based on their area and the COVID-19 situation in each member organization's region.

That means a return to play for leagues across the nation will all vary and could all look very different in terms of timing and execution.
