OHA names Cyclones goalie Grimes among OHA prospects of the year

The Ontario Hockey Association has named Listowel Cyclones goalie Dixon Grimes as one of the OHA Top Prospects for 2019-20.

Grimes, a 16-year-old rookie this year in the GOJHL, posted excellent numbers in Listowel, with a record of 14-9-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .917 save percentage. The now 17-year-old ranked 4th in GAA and 11th in save percentage in all of the GOJHL. The Guelph, Ontario native was also named to the Midwestern Conference All-Rookie Team, and starred in the Future Stars game, as well.

Grimes is the son of former GOJHL head coach and current coach of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles, Jake Grimes.

The 6'3", 208 pound Grimes was taken in the 10th round, 196th overall in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft by the Guelph Storm.
