More major events cancelled

For the first time since 1945, Wimbeldon will not be played.

Organizers decided to cancel this year's event as Britain remains in lockdown. It was supposed to start June 92.

And the $1 million Queen's Plate at Woodbine has also been cancelled. That was supposed to take place on June 27.

And golf's RBC Open in Toronto may not be done just yet.

In a statement Thursday morning, the Chief Executive of the R and A, Martin Slumbers, says they are working through options including postponement.

But because of a range of factors it will take some time to resolve.
