PJHL playoffs to start soon

The Mount Forest Patriots doubled Mitchell 4-2 and Wingham beat Walkerton 4-0 to end the PJHL's Pollock Division regular schedule.

With the two losses over the weekend, Mitchell will finish in fifth spot and face Hanover who will have home ice advantage in the series by finishing fourth. Kincardine will take on Goderich in the first round and Wingham will play Walkerton. The Mount Forest Patriots have chosen to take the bye.

Schedules for the playoffs are being worked out by the respective teams.

Mount Forest Patriot forward Riley Cribbin finished the season with 86 points, 39 G and 47 A. That's tops in the entire PJHL with teammate Jack Birkett with 77 points in second and Stayner's Matthew Maidens with 76 points.

Another notable in the PJHL, Norwich Merchants forward Jake Luke had the only 40 G season in the league.
