The Kitchener Rangers withstood a late push by the Storm to edge Guelph 2-1.
Reid Valade gave the Rangers a one goal lead late in the first. Michael Vukojevic’s empty netter with 38 seconds left in regulation put the Rangers up 2-0.
Michael Bianconi’s goal with just five seconds remaining spoiled Jacob Ingham’s shut out bid.
London 6 Sault Ste. Marie 5
Liam Foudy scored the game winner on the power play just 35 seconds into overtime to give London a 6-5 win over the Soo.
Josh Nelson tied the game just under 13 minutes into the third of the back-and-forth affair.
Foudy, Connor McMichael, and Antonio Stranges each scored and had an assist in the win. Gerard Keane and Hunter Skinner also had two points nights with a pair of assists each.
