Brussels Tigers come close at ISC Challenge Cup

The ISC Challenge Cup in Innerkip brought together champions from leagues across the province.

This year the Brussels Tigers earned their spot by winning the Huron County Men's Fastball League and the team was able to win its way into the final against the Innerkip Eagles.

The Eagles got to starter Ty Sebastian early, scoring six runs on five hits. The Tigers were able to score a few runs of their own with Sebastian, Dennis Dewar and Mark Miller leading the way going a combined 9-for-14.

But Innerkip's early lead kept them out in front and the won the game 14-9.

For the tournament, Ty Sebastian was named Most Valuable Pitcher. He was 4-0 going into the final with 27 IP and 53 K's.

The Challenge Cup also featured, Shakespeare, Arthur, Dundalk, Wiarton and Tavistock as part of the 14 team tournament.
