Barons getting core back, Pollock Divison preseason starts

In the PJHL Pollock Division, the Hanover Barons have their young backbone back from last season.

Forwards Mark Aljoe, Noah Johnson, Tyson Lina and defenceman Derek Cornfield have been resigned.

Mark Aljoe was the division's top rookie last season with 18 goals and 31 points. Cornfield was fourth in team scoring with 23 points.

Meanwhile the Pollock Division pre-season starts Wednesday with Goderich in Kincardine at 8 p.m.

More games are set for the rest of the week including: Mount Forest at Tavistock, Thursday, Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. Mount Forest at Stayner, Saturday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. New Hamburg at Mitchell, Saturday, Aug. 24 at 7:30 p.m. Wingham at Lucan, Sunday, Aug. 25 at 6:50 p.m. Walkerton at Hanover, Sunday, Aug. 25 at 7:30 p.m. (at the Normanby arena)
