Team Canada crushes another opponent at WBSC Men's World Softball Championships

Team Canada pitched another shutout win in dominant fashion today at the WBSC Men's World Softball Championships in the Czech Republic.

Canada breezed by Singapore 8-0 off the strength of 4 home runs, all solo shots. Derek Mason, Bryan Abrey, Shane Boland and Patrick Burns all went yard in the game. Mitchell native Tyler Pauli went 0-2 at the plate but scored a run after he was walked by the Singapore pitcher.

Canada will finish 1st place in Pool B as a result of the win, and face either the home nation Czech team or Cuba in the first playoff game Friday depending on who wins that contest tomorrow. Canada wraps up the round robin tomorrow against the Republic of South Africa.
