Locals come out to show support for Cup Champion Ryan O'Reilly

Close to fifty Bayfield residents sent an informal congratulations and thank to Ryan O'Reilly this past Friday night.

Congratulations for winning the Stanley Cup and the Conn Smythe Trophy and the thank you for all that Ryan, or "Snook", as he's known in Huron County, and the O'Reilly family has done in saving the Bayfield Arena.

The event was organized by the Bayfield Lions, the Bayfield Facility Initiative Team and the Bayfield Arena Community Partnership Association.

BACPA Chair, Ron Keys pointed out Ryan and all of the O'Reilly family are big time community people who have done a lot to help save the Bayfield Arena. Keys adds, Ryan volunteered his time for a video that was a big part of the campaign to save the arena so the village is congratulating on him on his Stanley Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy as well as thanking him for his support.

“They're big time community people and they've done a lot for the Bayfield Arena, to help save it. We did a video there a number of months back and Ryan volunteered his time in that video and that was huge, so congratulations to him and a big thank you.”
