Listowel's Corey Connors Has Solid Second Round At Canadian Open

Listowel's Corey Connors finished up his second round at the RBC Canadian Open with a solid 2-under par.

Connors says he wishes he could have had a more solid showing on the greens.

"I definitely was trying to bend a few in with my body language. Just couldn't seem to get things going. I hit a lot of good puts and made a little adjustment with my putting this week, and felt like I was hitting some really good ones and just couldn't get them to go in."

Despite a tough putting day, Connors did birdie 15 and then managed to eagle the 16th hole, which he says were probably the highlights of his round. Connors is sitting at 2-under and came out of his round tied for 79th. Despite missing the cut, he feels his game is rounding into good form. Connors says he already has his next few weeks planned out.

"I'm heading to Reno for the Barracuda Championship next week, and then following that likely a week off, and then the Wyndham Championship. So a couple more regular season events left and then right into the Fedex Cup playoffs, so hopefully I can have a good couple weeks and put myself in good position there."
