Corey Conners Turns Pro

"After the Masters I hope to turn pro and work towards getting my PGA Tour card."

That's what Listowel's Corey Conners said ahead of his appearance at the 2015 Masters. Just one week after his coming out party at Augusta, Conners will make his professional debut, taking part in the RBC Heritage.

Conners will hit Harbour Town Golf Links, which was designed in consultation with Jack Nicklaus and located in South Carolina. He got the invite through sponsor exemption, meaning he was selected to participate by the tournament's sponsors, showing that his play at the Masters didn't go unnoticed.

Last week Conners wrapped up his time at Augusta with a -3 round to finish the tournament at +5. He had the lowest score out of any amateur in the tournament.

Known also as the Heritage Classic, opening round play at the RBC Heritage begins on Thursday.
