Cassidy In Commonwealth Final

Port Elgin area’s Josh Cassidy finished 6th in the T54, 1500m wheelchair final at the Commonwealth Games in Scotland.

He started out in fourth spot off the starting line and kept pace.

On the second lap he made the move to the front but couldn’t hold on and on the last lap fell back into sixth spot.

Cassidy sent out a couple of tweets afterwards.

Congratulations to my teammate Alex Dupont on winning the bronze medal in the 1500m at #CommonwealthGames @CGC Well deserved.

Wet one in #Glasgow for 1500m #CommonwealthGames final. Felt good, in control on the wet track until the final max sprint. More to work out.
