Six-foot-eight, 250 pound free agent defenseman Jarrett Meyer has been signed by the Owen Sound Attack.

Meyer comes in from the New Jersey Rockets of the Eastern Junior “A” Hockey League where he had 3 assists in 26 games.

The 19 team league on the U.S east coast has produced NHL’ers in the past and Meyer’s Rockets team featured now Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson from 2005-2007.

“I am very excited to be a part of the Owen Sound Attack and am looking forward to the upcoming season.”, said Meyer. “We visited Owen Sound earlier this month and while I was there, we were very impressed. I knew it was a great place to become a better hockey player.”

Meyer is the seventh defenseman signed by the Attack heading into training camp.
