Stratford police charge two London teens

Two London teens are facing charges for weapons possession, assault, and more after being arrested by the Stratford Police Service's Street Crimes Unit last week.

Officers arrested three individuals who were known to police and gathered along Shakespeare Street on May 25 around 6:30 p.m.

The first, a 19-year-old from London, had an outstanding warrant in town for assault and criminal harassment, related to a domestic violence incident in January. They were released on an undertaking with a court date set for July.

A 17-year-old was also arrested after officers searched them and found a .22 calibre handgun, a prohibited knife, a few grams of fentanyl, and a large amount of cash. They were held in custody on the charges.

Officers also placed a 16-year-old under arrest, but released them at the scene with no charges laid.
