Music in the Fields lineup announced

Chris Young, LoCash and the Trews are some of the many acts that will grace the stage at Lucknow's Music in the Fields this summer.

Celebrating its 15th year, the three-day festival runs from August 24-26 at Graceland Event Grounds.

Other artists booked for the festival include: Jade Eagleson, Meghan Patrick, Aaron Goodvin, Tyler Joe Miller, Mackenzie Leigh Meyer, 21 Gun Salute (an ACDC Tribute), Country Thunder, Mystic Highway (a CCR Tribute) and nightly afterparties with DJ Johnny Rivex.

Music in the Fields will also see a return from Mildmay local and last year's Emerging Artist Showdown runner-up Owen Riegling.

"We've got some great acts, Chris Young is rising the charts, he's got a new single out now that is playing over really well," says marketing director Cheryl Johnston. "LoCash has been longtime favourites and we've had them requested for many years, so it's nice to be able to get them on the bill. Having acts like Aaron Goodvin and Meghan Patrick back on, as well as come new country acts, it's great... we really do try and fill every minute with great music for people to have fun with."

Contestants for 2023's Emerging Artist Showdown will be announced later, as will more acts.

All proceeds from the event will go towards local organizations, as well as supporting Cystic Fibrosis research, the title charity for the Lucknow Kinsmen.

"This is a charity event, so every ticket they buy, proceeds do go back into the community. They're not just supporting putting this event on for other people, but they're supporting the community as well, which is the whole reason the Kinsmen got doing this and puts all the time and energy that they put in to this event. It is really a labour of love and we do enjoy it. We can't wait to have everybody come out and enjoy the weekend again."
