Six small businesses graduate from Huron County start-up program

Huron County recently had six more businesses complete their Starter Company Plus program, obtaining grant funding totaling $15,000.

The 12-week training provides mentorship for those looking to start, expand, or buy a small business. This year’s participants were also paired with Digital Service Squad experts to improve their online presence.

Businesses that took part include: Duck Duck Juice and Gym in Wingham; B Creative Prints, Frames and Design in Zurich; Hopewell Counselling Services in Blyth; We-R-Strategic in Exeter; TM Marketing Solutions in Londesborough and Boundary Roasting Co. in Huron East.

“The training and coaching that new and existing businesses receive during this program is invaluable to their continued growth and development,” said Director of Economic Development, Vicki Lass. “Completion of this program represents significant hard work and commitment, immense creativity, and a true entrepreneurial spirit!”

Businesses can enroll for participation in the program’s next intake starting in July.
