Building permit issued for Cedar Crescent Village in Port Elgin

Saugeen Shores Council has issued the building permit for part of The Cedar Crescent Village plan.

That will allow the developer to proceed on the "north phase" of the project’s two future buildings.

The permit finalized the structure’s design and drawings, while ensuring the plan meets all appropriate building code regulations. The project also received a Permit to Take Water in November of 2022 from the provincial Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks.

The public-private partnership aims to develop Cedar Crescent Village as an anchor for the town’s Waterfront Master Plan in Port Elgin. Council expects it to allow the town to make improvements to the Port Elgin Main Beach to make it more accessible, as well as providing more services at the waterfront.
