The Realtors Association of Grey-Bruce Owen Sound Multiple Listing Sales saw the number of residential homebuyers fall well below the rate of 2021 last year.
The association reported 2022 finished off on a subdued note as 110 units sold in December, down over 27 per cent from December of 2021.
Those numbers were also down 24 per cent compared to the five-year average .
On an annual basis, home sales totalled 2,367 units over the course of 2022. This was a big decline of 32.4 per cent from the same period in 2021.
The MLS Home Price Index composite benchmark price was $542,700 in December 2022, down modestly by 2.2 per cent compared to December 2021.
The annual average price was $693,726, a gain of 6.5 per cent from all of 2021.
