The public was told to avoid an area just outside of Owen Sound on Monday due to a police investigation.
Just before 10 a.m., Grey Bruce County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a section of the Bruce Trail, west of the Rail Trail near Concession 11 within the Municipality of Meaford for an unspecified incident.
Investigators were on scene most of the day and a police presence remains in the area into Monday evening. Nearby residents and the general public is asked to steer clear of the area for the time being.
Police say more information will be provided a later time.
