Freezing drizzle advisory for parts of midwestern Ontario

Those with late-night or early-morning commutes are advised to take caution as some roads may be slippery due to freezing drizzle.

Environment Canada issued a weather advisory calling for freezing drizzle for areas including Bruce Peninsula, Sauble Beach, Tobermory, Southern Bruce County, Grey County, and Huron-Perth County.

"Freezing drizzle can produce thin, hard-to-detect layers of ice," a statement from the weather agency read. "Slow down driving in slippery conditions."

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways, and parking lots may become icy in these conditions. The hazardous precipitation is expected to end by early Tuesday morning.
