Snowy drive to start the work week

Updated at 7:57 a.m.

A messy drive this morning as the wind blows around yesterday's snowfall and squalls impact northern areas of Midwestern Ontario.

Bruce County Roads Department is reporting bare and wet, to partly to mostly snow covered conditions this morning. There is moderate drifting in open areas but visibility is now fair to good throughout the county.

Roads are much the same in Grey County with partly to mostly snow covered roads with moderate drifting in open areas.

In Huron and Perth, it's much the same in the northern end of the two counties with good visibility. To the south, roads are bare and dry to bare and wet and track bare in sections. Visibility there is also good.

There's a snow squall warning up for the Bruce Peninsula and northern Grey County. There's a winter weather travel advisory up for southern areas of Bruce and Grey.

Drivers are asked to postpone all unnecessary travel. If you do head out, make sure your vehicle's headlights and taillights are on.
