An Amber Alert is no longer in effect after a young girl was reported missing from Stratford Tuesday afternoon.
Officials with the Stratford Police Service requested the alert for 11-year-old girl just after 5:30 p.m. Nearly one hour later, the alert was lifted after the girl was found safe.
Stratford police say the girl was located safe with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police and York Regional Police.
The girl was initially reported missing Tuesday morning after she was last seen near a local arena.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
