By-law enforcement on Bruce County trails

Bruce County has hired new by-law officers to enforce rules on local trails.

In a release from Bruce County, the contract is with James Special Services Inc., to provide enforcement services on county forest trails and the Bruce County Rail Trail.

It's in accordance with the Bruce County’s Forest Recreation By-law and by-law enforcement officers will be patrolling local trails. That includes ensuring trails are being used responsibly, and visitors are compliant with park rules. Officers will also ensure that permits regarding motorized trail use are being followed.

More information on the Bruce County Forest Recreation By-law is available at www.brucecounty.on.ca/government/by-laws.
