A father and his daughter pulled from water at Grand River Conservation Authority

A father and his daughter had to be pulled from the water at the Grand River Conservation Authority in Rockwood over the weekend.

Police say a 33-year old man from Mississauga and his 7-year old daughter were in an inflatable boat when it flipped over early Saturday evening.

The two were pulled from the water by bystanders.

Police, fire and paramedics responded to the call around 6:20 p.m.

The man was taken to hospital and was pronounced deceased.

The 7-year old, who was wearing a life jacket, was treated at the scene.

Wellington County OPP is still investigating.
