Parts of Midwestern Ontario advised to cover plants overnight

Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for northern Huron-Perth, southern Bruce, and Grey counties.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

The weather agency warned that this may happen between Sunday night and Monday morning, though temperatures are expected to come well above freezing shortly after sunrise on Monday.

If possible, people are advised to cover up any plants, especially in frost-prone areas, to avoid damage.
