Conservation camps will feature diverse themes

Conservation educators at the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority are offering six specialty one-day summer nature day camps this summer.

They will be at three different locations in the watershed through August.

Conservation Educator Denise Iszczuk explains they're looking at different themes.

“We're looking at different themes for different days in different locations, to gauge the interest of any youth, and or parents that are looking to enroll their youth into some active opportunities this summer,” stated Iszczuk. “So we have fantastic fossils at Rock Glen, we have beautiful bugs, we also have delightful de-composers, wonderful water, tremendous trees and marvelous macros, which macros is referring to macro invertebrate.”

Iszczuk says they're inviting young people between the ages of seven and 12 to participate.

Registration is due July 4th but she says the spaces are filling up quickly.

More information about the camps and registration forms can be found on the ABCA website.
