The Progressive Conservative Candidate for Perth-Wellington, officially kicked-off his 2022 provincial election campaign this week. Matthew Rae was at at Knapp’s in Listowel buying new running shoes as he steps up his campaign. Knapp’s Shoes & Clothing is a family-owned business since 1962.
Owner Corey McLeod appreciated Rae’s message: “The pandemic has been especially difficult for so many stores,” McLeod said. “Matthew recognizes the importance of businesses like ours; companies with deep roots in our communities. I know he’ll do a great job of representing us at Queen’s Park.”
Rae says he needs high quality foot wear to knock on every door, to meet voters across the riding.
“Our riding deserves someone who understands our values and cares about our rural communities,” said Rae. “I will be ready on day one to fight for our rural communities and be their voice at Queen’s Park.”
Rae says he is hearing about affordability issues for residents, and says his government is taking action to bring costs down.
"We are cutting the gas tax, keeping Hydro prices under control and scrapping the license plate sticker renewal fees,” said Rae. “We are laser-focused on making life more affordable for the people of Perth-Wellington and Ontario”
