County hosting information sessions regarding aid for Ukraine

Huron County is hosting upcoming information sessions regarding local organizations that are working to help the people of Ukraine.

The sessions will include information on supports being put in place for potential newcomers from Ukraine and how the public can help in these efforts.

The sessions are being organized by the Huron County Library and Huron County Immigration Partnership.

In-person sessions are scheduled for the Exeter Library on Tuesday, April 12th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the Seaforth Library on Wednesday, April 13th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and the Alice Munro Library in Wingham on Thursday, April 14th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Additionally, a virtual community information session is planned for April 20th from 7:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

“Many community members have indicated they would like to know how they could help and prepare,” said Kristin Crane of the Huron County Immigration Partnership. “These information sessions will highlight current local actions, and provide residents with information on how they may be able to contribute, as the need arrive locally."
