UPDATE: Police investigating suspicious deaths near Brussels

The Huron County OPP has taken one person into custody relating to a pair of suspicious deaths near Brussels.

Members of the Huron County OPP Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services are investigating after police and paramedics were called to a home on Graham Road on Wednesday just after 4 p.m. to check on the well-being of the occupants.

When they arrived, they located a deceased adult female inside the home. Police also located a deceased adult male on the property.

Both deaths are considered suspicious in nature and police have not released the names of the victims.

Early Friday evening, police confirmed one person has been taken into custody.

Post-mortem examinations are scheduled to be done Saturday and investigators will provide updates as they become available.

Investigators asking anyone with who may have witnessed any suspicious activity taking place on or near Graham Road between the evening hours of Tuesday, March 29 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30 to contact them.

Although investigators believe this is an isolated incident, the OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their personal safety at all times.
