Liberal leader calls for more rapid tests and including COVID-19 in required vaccines

Ontario Liberals plan to use the last legislative session to continue fighting for families at Queen’s Park.

Leader Steven Del Duca says his party will put forward new ideas to make everyday life more affordable, strengthen our public services, and ensure increasing vaccination coverage continues to be a key focus in keeping Ontarians safe and our businesses open.

In addition to demanding expanded access to free rapid testing, holding Ford accountable for his response to the Ottawa occupation and securing a childcare deal for Ontario families, the Ontario Liberals will be introducing legislation to add the COVID-19 vaccine to the list of universally required vaccines in schools.

“We may have a state of emergency in the Province, but we have a leadership crisis here at Queen’s Park. Unlike Doug Ford’s Conservatives, the Ontario Liberal caucus will always put the interests of Ontarians first, ” stated Ontario Liberal Leader, Steven Del Duca.

He added, “these past few weeks have made it absolutely clear; the root cause of the problem for Doug Ford’s Conservatives is Doug Ford himself. He’s refused to sign a deal with the Federal Liberals to bring $10 a day childcare to Ontario. He’s pandering to anti-vaxxers in his latest rants. He has a lot to answer for after ignoring the people of Ottawa during the nearly month-long occupation.”
